When a voluntary organization and some individuals like Anna Hazare and Ram Dev etc. can create such a furore over their demands, then why should we keep silent? Anna Hazare’s organization never conesisted of more than 50 to 100 people but because of his continued struggle and total commitment to his people and cause, he has achieved an exalted position which is known to every body. Even though net-work of Baba Ram Dev’s organization is spread all over the country, yet it has not reached the level of our organization. We have organized bigger rallies in the past, for our rights and have achieved many goals.
It is a matter of regret and frustration that our people keep silent and indifferent. People who are not even undergoing any difficulties at the hands of the ruling class, are ready to lay down their lives. Even after the rally organized by us on 29.11.2010, leaders of our Confederation have not shown any particular interest in its activities. In fact, we should take some lessons from the upper caste people. Black money and corruption are definitely big issues but the bigger issues are reservation in the private sector and a whole lot of issues arising from the evils of caste system. Our anguish and anger on these issues should be much more than the issues of black money and corruption being raised by the upper caste people because the UPA Government even after 2004 has not addressed these issues till date. Even if 10% of our leaders and workers take inspiration from the way the upper caste people have handled their movement on the issues of corruption and black money, and become a little more active, a big movement can be launched throughout the length and breadth of the country which will force the Government to wake up from its slumber.
We have resolved to take up the issue of reservation in the private sector as a matter of do or die. To achieve this goal, we have to organize ourselves in a big way and be prepared to make sacrifices. With this end in view, we have booked Mavlankar Hall, which is not only airconditioned but also has a seating capacity of thousands of people, for 6th and 7th August, 2011 from 9 AM to 10 PM. Thousands of leaders and representatives will participate in this event. I would earnestly request you to kindly immediately hold a meeting of district and State level representatives to ensure that a maximum number of people participate in the meeting to be held at Mavlankar Hall on 6th and 7th August, 2011. We have to determine as to where we stand as compared to the so-called strength of the upper caste people in the matter of their struggle for achieving their goals. Please ensure that you reach the venue on 6th August by 9 AM. It will be better if people who have any suggestions or points to make, send them in advance. Booking charges for the Hall alone are Rs. 1,14,000/- (Rupees one lakh and fourteen thousand) and keeping this in view, the delegate fee has been fixed at Rs. 200/- per delegate.
With best wishes,
