Humayu or Gandhi More Important Than DR. BR Ambedkar In India?

Dear friends,

I just read in a newspaper with big headlines and big color photo of Humayu's tomb that Obama would visit Humayu's tomb during his visit to India. Also he would be visiting M K Gandhi's mausoleum.

The big question that strike me is that despite Dalits of India campaigning for Obama's visit that he should visit Dr.B R Ambedkar's Deeksha Bhoomi in the city of Nagpur, or Dr.B R Ambedkar Parinirvan Bhoomi in New Delhi, or Dr.B R Ambedkar’s statue in Parliament House in New Delhi, Indian government is as usual unheard of Dalit voice in India.

It was MK Gandhi who started his historical campaign against Dalits in this nation that resulted in dissolution of Poona pact, the biggest political historical blunder to Dalits in India, whose consequences Dalits are still suffering. The Muslim leader of India Maulana Azad, on the question of Dalit population in India, during the partition, said that Dalits should be divided half in Hindus and half in Muslims, a derogatory statement criticized by DR. B R Ambedkar.

So if in this nation Gandhi & Humayu are more important than the idols of aboriginal Indians the Dalits, so is this nation is important to Dalits?

Where is the place in this world relevant to Dalits?
