Your observation is apparently correct. But you need to note that USA had remained divided into colonies of European empires for a very long time. Most of such colonies had also got independent colonies in the Indian sub-continent as well.

Such emperors had given to the intellectual and administrators of such empires the task of understanding the native systems of political, social and religious administration and culture and history. This practice had, inter alia, resulted in translation of Hindu sacred books, which had started in right earnestness during the closing quarter of the 18th century AD.

Since all such books were in Sanskrit known only to the Brahmans, the willing cooperation of the latter was of utmost importance, which was obviously made available by them and purchased by the rulers at the demanded price. Consequently, the concerned parties had to work day and night for decades with a sense of adequate slavish devotion.

Such empires obviously learnt the best art of exploitation, oppression and suppression of the respective subjects through the Hindu religious books and the Brahman exponents. The empires used that art in the matter of perpetration of the empires. USA, while being under the subjection of European empires as a colony had naturally tasted the adverse consequences of application of such principles, which stood codified in Manusmriti, Kautilya’s Artha-Saastra, Yajnavalkya Smriti and Panchatantra. Such works also got translated even in Persian and Arabic in connection with the achievement of similar objectives, during the Indian subjugation of Muslim rulers for earlier centuries.

After getting independence from European colonies, USA had been a very close associate of such empires, before coming to assume the position of being the only Super Power in the whole world. Nothing succeeds like success, which in itself is the greatest teacher.

In view of the imperial interests of USA in the whole world, the American nation and her people must share their culture and habits with the upper caste Hindus as distinguished from those of the masses of India, comprising OBCs and the Dalits. USA then is having threat of Muslim terrorism which is commonly felt by India also.

The association of Indian politics and administration being in the hands of the upper caste Hindus headed by Brahmans, the Hindu religious heads, is of paramount importance to USA. The need for such association of USA also tends to make the Dalits more vulnerable. Thus, incidentally, the future of Dalits and other weaker sections does not appear to be very bright since all political actions are guided by the purely selfish interests. Then, the stronger party is always in a better position to reap the better advantages from its selfish actions.
